This role requires a commitment to developing students' critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills while supporting their social and emotional growth.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to diverse learning styles.Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.Assess and evaluate student progress through formal and informal assessments, providing timely feedback to students and parents.Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary units and participate in professional development opportunities.Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support student success and address any concerns.Manage classroom behavior and implement effective strategies for conflict resolution.Integrate technology into the curriculum to enhance learning experiences.Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and community outreach programs.Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.Support the social and emotional development of students through mentorship and guidance.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Education or a related field.Valid teaching certification for elementary or middle school education.Strong knowledge of 6th-grade curriculum and educational best practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and staff.Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and accommodate diverse learning needs.Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.Previous teaching experience at the middle school level is preferred but not required.
