Health Information Technician

Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Health Information Technician to support administrative and medical records operations within a healthcare setting. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate patient records, processing health information, and supporting clinical and administrative teams with documentation and data management tasks. This is a long-term assignment. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in medical terminology, records management, or related field preferred Prior strong administrative experience required (must be recent, preferably in a medical office setting) Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Experience with scanning, faxing, emailing, and electronic health record systems preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy with sensitive information Knowledge of medical terminology and health information practices is a plus Strong organizational and communication skills Clinical roles such as Medical Assistant or STNA will not be considered
