This role ensures seamless integration between payroll and scheduling systems (Symplr), supports organizational staffing needs, and partners closely with HR leadership to align payroll practices with organizational policies, compliance requirements, and workforce strategies. The Manager will serve as a system Super User and leads continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and employee experience.Payroll and Scheduling Manager Responsibilities:Oversee the entire payroll function to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and complianceSupervise payroll staff, including training and performance managementAudit timecards, PTO, bonus pay, and supplemental leave pay (e.g., FMLA)Review payroll liabilities including PTO and leave balancesProcess, review, and approve payroll adjustments and exceptions (including retroactive pay, overpayments, and off-cycle payrolls), ensuring appropriate documentation, compliance, and internal controls are followedServe as the primary escalation point for complex payroll issues, exercising independent judgment to interpret policies and resolve discrepancies in partnership with HR and FinancePerforms other duties as assignedPayroll and Scheduling Manager Education and Experience Requirements:Valid driver’s license and proof of current liability insurance as well as reliable vehicle requiredBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferredMinimum of 10 years of experience in payroll, workforce management, or human resourcesExperience with payroll and scheduling systems (Symplr experience preferred)Strong knowledge of wage and hour laws and payroll regulationsDemonstrated leadership and team management skillsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPayroll and Scheduling Manager Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionHigh level of discretion, judgment, and confidentialityAbility to interpret policies, analyze data, and make informed decisionsWhy Choose Day Kimball Health?
