Technical Project Manager

Job OverviewReporting to the Manager of Engineering Operations, the Technical Project Manager will manage planning, development, and delivery of AGS projects and collaborate with Project and Program Managers to deliver products with dependencies across teams. The Senior Technical Project Manager will also mentor other Technical Project managers on the Engineering Operations team.ResponsibilitiesTake high-level directives and work with stakeholders to define product requirementsManage software development projects from planning through approval and deployment readyWork with Program and Project Managers to deliver complete products including Hardware, Software and GamesProactively identify, track, and mitigate risks/impactsCoordinate dependencies across internal and external development teamsCommunication of project status tailored to various audiences' required level of detailOptimization of project schedule and resource allocationCreate metrics measuring effectiveness of project planning, development, and PM processFacilitate decisions, track action items, and maintain a change logSupport and implement continuous improvementSkills/Requirements8 + years of experience as a Project Manager requiredBachelor or Master of Science degree preferredExpert analytical and technology skillsSuperior attention to detail with strong communication skills (verbal and written) and organizational skillsAbility to coach, mentor and guide other project managersAbility to develop strong relationships with technology development teamsAble to focus on strategic goals and objectives while dealing tactically with operational issuesWillingness to learn about casino industry, current market and technology trendsExpert project management experience and skill set inclusive of the following areas - project planning and development, scope management, schedule development and management, risk management, issue management, change management and cost managementExperienced professional leading execution of Project Plans in a fast-paced, technology driven product development environmentExpert gathering technical requirements and change managementExpert working on and leading cross-functional projectsExpert working with and leading project resources not under direct control (both external and internal)Expert leading the delivery of products from design & development teams to internal or external production teamsExpert managing multiple cross-functional projects concurrentlyStrong knowledge of Agile and waterfall software development methodologies and associated toolsProven ability to leverage AI productivity tools - e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT - to get better work done faster. Uses these tools regularly to elevate output quality, reduce turnaround time, and bring sharper thinking to complex tasks.
