What’s yours?Position OverviewAs a Fabric Tacking Machine Operator, you will use a tacking machine to attach rings or strobel to fabric shades. Your goal is to ensure each product meets quality standards while working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.What you'll doReceive prepped and marked fabric from Flat Prep and review work tickets for special instructions.Operate a tacking machine to attach rings or strobel to fabric shades accurately.Ensure all work is completed according to quality standards and specifications.Follow safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment and reporting unsafe conditions.Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and equipment.Assist with lifting and handling fabrics safely, asking for help when needed.Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to address questions or issues.Perform other duties as assigned to support production workflow.All other duties as assignedWho you areHigh school graduate or equivalent.Experience with sewing or operating industrial sewing machines.Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.General knowledge of fabrics and production processes.Strong attention to detail and accuracy with names, numbers, and spelling.Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting continuously.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Safety-conscious, with knowledge of workplace safety rules and use of PPE.Physically able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions.Team player with good communication and organizational skills.What's in it for you?Annual base salary range: $13 hourly Generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disabilityA company culture that prioritizes internal development and professional growthTime off with pay401(k) plan with a degree of employer matchingPaid parental leaveWellness programs and product discountsPlease note, all offers presented to candidates are carefully crafted to ensure market competitiveness, equity, and reflect the individual candidate’s education, experience, skills and potential.Hunter Douglas is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with applicable employment laws.
