The MIH team consists of experienced industry-leading professionals, focused on logistical, energy and cost-effective solutions to our clients.We are seeking a motivated and reliable HVAC Service Technician - Apprentice to join our MIH team. This entry-level role is designed for individuals looking to build a career in HVAC service and maintenance. The apprentice will work under the supervision of experienced technicians, gaining hands-on experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems in residential and/or commercial settings.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist senior technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation equipmentLearn to diagnose basic mechanical and electrical issues under supervisionPerform preventive maintenance tasks such as filter changes, cleaning components, and checking system performanceSafely handle tools, equipment, and materials according to company and OSHA guidelinesMaintain accurate service documentation and job reportsCommunicate professionally with customers and team membersLoad/unload materials and maintain a clean, organized work areaParticipate in training programs, certification courses, and on-the-job learningFollow company policies, safety standards, and job schedulesQualificationsCompletion of an HVAC technical school or apprenticeship programStrong mechanical aptitude and interest in the HVAC tradeAbility to work in various environments (heat, cold, confined spaces, ladders, rooftops)Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving recordBasic hand tools preferred; willingness to acquire additional tools over timeAbility to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a teamCompensation: $22 - $25 depending on skill, plus benefitsMIH Systems Group provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
