SummaryThe Education Specialist in Continuing Education designs, develops, implements, and evaluates education programs using a collaborative approach aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of healthcare professionals.Responsibilities• Facilitate learning activities for continuing education that are medical, professional and/or patient-community focused.• Ensure courses are evidence-based, relevant, and aligned with current healthcare standards and regulations.• Collaborate with subject matter experts to create effective learning materials and curriculum.• Conduct needs assessments to identify areas for improvement and professional development within healthcare teams.• Analyze healthcare industry trends to ensure programs address emerging topics and challenges.• Deliver live and virtual training sessions, workshops, webinars, and seminars for healthcare professionals.• Use various teaching methodologies and learning technologies to engage participants and ensure effective learning outcomes.• Assess the effectiveness of education programs through participant feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.• Modify and enhance training programs based on evaluations and emerging educational best practices.• Ensure all continuing education programs meet accreditation standards set by relevant healthcare bodies and regulatory agencies.• Maintain certification and licensure requirements for healthcare professionals through ongoing education and training offerings.• Collaborate with department heads, healthcare teams, and external stakeholders to identify learning needs and align educational programs with organizational goals.• Work with other education specialists and departments to create a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to training.• Track participant enrollment, attendance, and completion of courses and certifications.• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on program effectiveness, participant satisfaction and educational outcomes.• Stay current with advancements in educational technologies and incorporates them into training programs.• Promote and integrate eLearning platforms, simulations, and other innovative tools to enhance learning experiences.Other Information• Maintain and document all applicable required education.• Demonstrate positive customer service and co-worker relations.• Comply with the company's attendance policy.• Participate in the continuous, quality improvement activities of the department and institution.• Perform work in a cost-effective manner.• Perform work in accordance with all departmental pay practices and scheduling policies, including but not limited to, overtime, various shift work, and on-call situations.• Perform work in alignment with the overall mission and strategic plan of the organization.• Follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures, as applicable.• Perform related duties as assigned.Education• Essential: Bachelor's Degree in related field• Experience: 5 - 7 years of related experience, preferred instructor statusCredentials• Drivers License (Required)Work Schedule: DaysStatus: Full Time Regular 1.0Location: Chesterfield Bldg 4-Center for Learning & ResearchLocation of Job: US:WV:Charleston
