Elementary School Special Education Teacher
Description The Clayton School District is accepting applications for a full time Special Education Teacher at the elementary school level. The District is accepting applications from individuals that possess the requisite knowledge and skills within multiple content areas. The District will also consider a quality candidate with a different teaching/bachelor's degree, willing to work toward obtaining the appropriate Special Education licensure. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Candidates possessing DPI Cross-categorical certification to teach special education students. Experience teaching in a special education setting is preferred. 2. Strong technology skills and the ability to teach through real-world application of technology. 3. A background in the use of assessments to guide instruction and progress monitor student learning. 4. A student-centered learning environment with the ability to adapt lessons based on student needs. 5. Experience or willingness to work within collaborative structures at the building and district levels. 6. Experience or desire to advise clubs and/or coach athletics.
