Job Title: Maintenance Assistant – Property ManagementJob Type: Full-TimeReports To: Property Manager / Maintenance SupervisorCompensation: $18.00/hourPosition SummaryWe're looking for a dependable and motivated Maintenance Assistant to join our property management team. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in their effort, and wants to learn valuable skills in maintenance, repair, and property care. You'll work alongside experienced technicians to help keep our properties clean, safe, and well-maintained — and build a solid foundation for a long-term career with room for advancement.Key ResponsibilitiesHelp with routine property maintenance such as trash pickup, painting, basic repairs, and cleaning.Assist with landscaping, snow removal, and general upkeep of exterior areas.Support the maintenance team with tools, materials, and setup during larger repair jobs.Learn to complete basic tasks like fixing minor plumbing or electrical issues under supervision.Respond to requests from tenants and property staff in a friendly and professional way.Help prepare units for new tenants (cleaning, painting, replacing light fixtures, etc.).Follow safety guidelines and help keep work areas clean and organized.Keep track of tools and supplies and help restock as needed.Maintain accurate records of work performed, time, and materials used.Who We're Looking ForYou're reliable, show up on time, and ready to work every day.You're willing to learn, ask questions, and take direction well.You like working with your hands and being active throughout the day.You're a team player who gets along well with others.You take pride in your work and pay attention to details.You're open to building new skills and possibly growing into a full technician role.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED (or working toward it) preferred.No previous experience required — we'll train the right person.Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
