Summary: A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. They assist in implementing therapy plans for individuals with physical, developmental, or emotional challenges. Responsibilities: Implement treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist. Assist patients with therapeutic activities to improve daily living skills. Help patients regain mobility, coordination, and independence. Monitor and document patient progress and report to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and home programs.
