Registered Nurse- Evening Shift

Job description: Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team at Jackson County Jail. As a vital member of our medical staff, you will provide high-quality patient care in a correctional setting. Your expertise will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, implementing care plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes. Shifts available: Evening Shift (night shift differential $3) Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ health status, including taking vital signs and performing diagnostic evaluations. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV insertion and airway management. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations. Experience Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. 1 year of nursing experience required. Active BLS through American Heart Association or Red Cross (online only not accepted) Correctional nursing experience preferred. Experience in an Outpatient, Primary or Urgent care setting is preferred. Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and patient management protocols. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
