Food Access and Security Manager
Position Description: The Food Access and Security Manager will lead Health Initiatives strategies for addressing food insecurity by establishing and strengthening community partnerships and directly overseeing programming with the purpose of increasing access to healthy and nutritious food for Foundation Communities residents and community members.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Support all aspects of food procurement, distribution and inventory for daily pantry operations
Hire, trains, supervise, and evaluate Food Access staff
Ensure all equipment, including vehicles and cold storage units, at distribution center facility and property sites stay in good working order; schedule maintenance/repairs as needed
Prepare funding applications, grant reports, and agency contracts on an ongoing basis based on opportunities and program needs
Manage data collection and reporting process for program outputs, grant deliverables, and quality improvement
Develop and implement program strategies with an equity lens, focused on decreasing disparities in food access experienced by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color communities
Develop and manage program budgets, allocate resources effectively, and ensure financial accountability. This includes monitoring expenses, tracking revenue, and making strategic financial decisions
Identify, connect and collaborate with community partners and key stakeholders to help increase service opportunities
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Public Health, Health Education, Social Work or related degree
Experience coordinating, implementing, and scaling social service programs
Ability to develop and maintain a variety of public- and private-sector partnerships
Strong coaching, supervision, and team leadership skills, and proven experience mobilizing teams
Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact and communicate with clients, staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 software, especially Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook, as well as database systems
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required.
Certified in food handling safety standards desired (will provide training if needed).
Compensation
$65,000/annual
