SOLUTION ENGINEER CMIT seeking a motivated, career and team-oriented Solution Engineer in support of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Continuous Diagnostic & Mitigation (CDM) DEFEND E Program. The CDM DEFEND E Program is a critical component of CISA's national effort to ensure the defense and resilience of cyberspace. As a Solutions Engineer specializing in cybersecurity, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing secure technology solutions that protect our clients' digital assets and data. You will leverage your expertise in cybersecurity solutions, including multi-factor authentication, network and device-level security, and trust architecture, to develop robust security strategies tailored to meet customer needs. Working closely with sales, product management, and development teams, you will ensure that all solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. This is a remote position where the candidate can work from any location within the United States provided, they are able to work on an eastern time zone schedule. Education/Certifications Required Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Required Qualifications Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a cybersecurity-focused role, such as Solutions Engineer, Cybersecurity Consultant, or Pre-Sales Engineer with a focus on security solutions. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including multi-factor authentication, zero trust architecture, network security, and device-level engineering. Proficiency with IAM, MFA, and network security tools. Engineering Concepts: Expertise in network-level and device-level security engineering, including the implementation of firewall policies, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex security challenges, develop innovative solutions, and manage multiple cybersecurity projects simultaneously. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Customer-Focused: Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to understanding and addressing cybersecurity needs. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders. Clearance Requirements Ability to obtain and maintain DHS suitability; not needed to start Candidate is required to be a US Citizen (non-dual citizenship) with the ability to obtain DHS Suitability. Physical Requirements The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivery presentations.
