Role Summary
The Branch Sales & Operations Manager is the face of Everguard Fence Materials in the Portland market. This role combines hands-on sales performance with light operational management to ensure smooth daily operations. The Manager will oversee yard activity, handle local customer relationships, coordinate inventory and logistics with Tukwila, and act as the main point of contact for all Portland-based activity.
This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual capable of wearing multiple hats—sales, account management, light inventory oversight, local outreach, and branch presentation—while helping establish Everguard’s presence in Portland and maintaining close collaboration with the Tukwila HQ.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Engagement & Sales
Assist walk-in customers and handle inbound calls and ecommerce inquiries professionally
Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate fencing materials and solutions
Generate accurate quotes and follow up to close sales
Maintain consistent contact with repeat customers to build long-term relationships
Resolve customer issues or escalate when appropriate to ensure satisfaction
Request customer reviews and support review-collection goals to build local reputation
Outbound Sales & Market Development (Future Plans)
Participate in field outreach every other week, including contractor visits, jobsite introductions, and supply-house drop-ins
Build and maintain a Portland contractor database with consistent follow-up
Introduce Everguard to local trades, builders, and landscapers to grow market presence
Represent Everguard at local trade events, meetups, or industry functions when applicable
Branch Operations
Oversee daily opening and closing procedures of the Portland yard
Ensure the branch is customer-ready daily (cleanliness, signage, displays, yard organization)
Manage local inventory levels and communicate reorder points to Tukwila HQ
Coordinate inventory transfers, verify incoming stock, and report shortages or damages
Schedule and prepare customer pickups to ensure accurate and timely order flow
Maintain safety standards and ensure the branch environment meets company expectations
Yard Employee Oversight
Supervise and support one yard employee
Delegate daily tasks, including staging orders and maintaining yard organization
Reinforce safety procedures and monitor punctuality and performance
Communicate any personnel issues directly to management
Weekly Reporting & Communication
Provide weekly updates to Tukwila HQ on sales progress, outbound activity, customer feedback, and branch needs
Participate in internal meetings and maintain strong communication with leadership

Compensation & Incentive Structure (After 60 Days)Base Salary
$35/Hr (Paid bi-weekly)
Commission Plan (Monthly)
2% commission on all new contractor accounts brought in (excluding walk-in accounts; metrics required)
As the branch grows, additional performance-based bonuses or branch-level overrides may be introduced based on monthly sales milestones
(Commission calculated on pre-tax revenue sold, paid monthly. Paid out the first pay period of the following month (must be a win-win scenario)
Monthly Performance Bonus – $250 (Outside Accounts Only)
Eligible by meeting key KPIs, including:
Eligible for a $250 monthly bonus by meeting key performance indicators (KPIs), including: Opening 10 new contractor accounts with at least one invoiced purchase per account.
Quarterly Review Incentive
Earn a $750 bonus after receiving a minimum of 30 customer review points in a quarter
Each review = 1 point
Reviews with photos = 1.5 points
Additional $25 per review beyond 30 points
Work Schedule
Monday–Friday & potential Saturdays during seasonHours: 7:00am – 3:30pm
