DescriptionPT Candy-Espresso ClerkMelville, NYWe have an exciting position opening at our Uncle Giuseppe's Melville Store within our Candy and Espresso Department. Our new hire will be responsible for serving our customers gourmet beverages and the sweetest candy on the Island!ResponsibilitiesThis individual will greet customers in a friendly manner, taking candy and coffee drink orders from customersWill prepare and serve beverages according to our company recipes, ranging from simple to more complex drinks Individual will run a register and be able to perform basic math functionsThe Candy Clerk will select and box gourmet candies as selected by customers. Will also make chocolate coated/drizzled candy items for purchaseWill promote and recommend menu options to customersWill be responsible for processing payments from customersWill be responsible for maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning equipment while on shift. Will maintain communications with Department Manager on any faulty equipment or issues with departmental equipmentAdditional duties and functions as assignedRequirementsHS Diploma or equivalent is requiredMust be at least 18 years of ageRequires a minimum of 1 year of experience working as a server or baristaPrior experience working with candy is desiredExcellent listening and communication skillsA strong focus on customer service and satisfaction is required for this positionPractice basic safety procedures with respect to equipment and handling hot beveragesMust be efficient and organizedMaintain a clean work environment according to company standards, following all health and safety guidelinesMust be able to speak, read and understand the English languageWe offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(K), 50% off lunch, 25% off in store shopping and more!
