Summer Packaging and Production Team

Gilman Cheese Corporation is hiring production and packaging team members to work this summer!Shifts:Monday through Thursday and every other Friday (Fridays are scheduled based on business needs)6:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. (1st Shift) - starting rate is $19.00/hour4:00 P.M. - 2:30 A.M. (2nd Shift) - starting rate is $21.00/hourDuties/Responsibilities:Learn and comply with all Gilman Cheese safety and quality policies including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)Label, stack, and line corrugated boxesUsing a foot pedal, pour cheese into boxes and ensure box weights are correctLabel bags or paperboard liners and lift loaves of cheese into casesPlace cut pieces of cheese into plastic totes (which weigh approximately 30 pounds)Inspect and In-feed cheese in the machineLabel cheese, inspect cheese packaging, and pack and tape boxesDisassemble and clean equipment used during the dayAny other related duties assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Must be a team player with the ability to multi-taskMust have some English and math skillsMust be at least 17 to work on 1st shift and 18 to work on 2nd shiftMust be able to follow instructions from the supervisorMust be available to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeksEducation and Experience:Prior Work Experience Is Preferred But Not Required.Physical Requirements:This position involves continuous standing and lifting of 10lbs and occasional lifting of 25lbs and carrying of objects up to 50lbs.Gilman Cheese Corporation is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
