Application Support Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Dynatrace Engineer to lead the implementation and optimization of enterprise observability solutions across a complex healthcare technology ecosystem. This role will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining end-to-end monitoring using Dynatrace, with a focus on improving application performance, user experience, and proactive incident detection.The ideal candidate has deep expertise with Dynatrace, modern cloud environments, microservices architecture, and automated monitoring solutions that support both web and mobile applications.Contract Details:12-month contract opportunity (potential to extend)100% remote (cannot work with candidates in California)Pay Rate: $50.00/hr W2No C2C/Sponsorship availableResponsibilities:Lead the end-to-end implementation and administration of Dynatrace monitoring across enterprise applications and services.Design and deploy comprehensive observability solutions for web, mobile, and backend microservices.Configure Real User Monitoring (RUM) to measure application performance, user experience, and transaction health.Build executive and operational dashboards that provide a unified view of application health, performance, and system availability.Utilize Dynatrace Davis AI to create intelligent alerting, dynamic thresholds, and automated anomaly detection to reduce alert fatigue.Monitor distributed microservices and integrations to identify performance bottlenecks and improve system reliability.Integrate Dynatrace with PagerDuty and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for automated incident response and operational visibility.Collaborate with DevOps, Engineering, and Support teams to troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.Develop monitoring standards, dashboards, and best practices for enterprise observability.Support continuous improvement initiatives related to application performance, reliability, and cloud monitoring.Required Qualifications:6+ years of hands-on experience implementing and administering Dynatrace in enterprise environments.Expert-level knowledge of Dynatrace administration, monitoring configuration, and performance optimization.Experience implementing Real User Monitoring (RUM) for web and mobile applications.Strong experience creating Dynatrace dashboards, custom metrics, and AI-driven alerting using Davis AI.Experience monitoring distributed applications and microservices architectures.Experience integrating Dynatrace with PagerDuty for incident management.Hands-on experience working within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.Experience monitoring both frontend applications and backend services in cloud-native environments.Strong troubleshooting and performance analysis skills.Preferred Qualifications:Experience supporting healthcare or other highly available enterprise applications.Experience monitoring Kubernetes and containerized workloads.Knowledge of distributed tracing and application performance management (APM) best practices.Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams.Technical Skills:Monitoring & ObservabilityDynatrace (Expert/Admin)Real User Monitoring (RUM)Dynatrace Davis AIApplication Performance Monitoring (APM)Distributed TracingDashboard DevelopmentAlerting & AutomationCloud & InfrastructureGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP)Cloud MonitoringMicroservices ArchitectureIncident ManagementPagerDutyMethodologiesDevOpsProduction SupportPerformance MonitoringEnterprise Observability
