Java / AWS Software EngineerNew York City, NY (Onsite)12+ MonthsWeb Cam Interview$70/Hr on W2Requirement Notes (Candidate Job description below) :We have won an exclusive contract to staff an entire Java Credit Card project.We need 10 senior (10+ Years) Java Developers with extensive experience in AWS and Banking with Credit Card experience being a Home Run!!!Candidates Must Have Excellent Communication Skills And Have Recent Projects In The NY/NJ Area.Experience required on a resume and for submittal:How many years working with: JavaHow many years working with: AWSHow many years working with: Banking or FISOverviewCard Installments Technology team is seeking a Java / AWS Software Engineer to support the design, development, and enhancement of high-volume, customer-facing installment lending platforms within the Consumer & Community Banking organization.This role sits within a fast-paced, regulated environment and requires strong backend engineering skills, cloud-native development experience, and the ability to collaborate closely with product, architecture, and risk partners.This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a strong path to full-time conversion.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and support Java-based microservices supporting card installments and consumer lending capabilitiesBuild and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS , leveraging modern DevOps and CI/CD practicesDevelop and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven services for high-throughput, low-latency systemsCollaborate with product owners, architects, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutionsParticipate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and production support activitiesEnsure solutions meet Banking security, risk, compliance, and resiliency standardsContribute to system scalability, performance optimization, and reliability improvementsSupport Agile/Scrum delivery processes in a highly collaborative team environmentRequired Qualifications10+ years of professional Java development experience (Java 8+)Strong experience building Spring / Spring Boot microservicesHands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, Lambda, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudWatch)Experience developing REST APIs and working with JSON/XML payloadsStrong understanding of object-oriented design , design patterns, and clean code principlesExperience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling (Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab, etc.)Experience working in Agile environmentsAbility to work onsite in NYC 5 days per weekPreferred / Nice-to-HaveExperience in financial services , consumer banking, credit cards, or lending platformsExposure to Kafka or event-driven architecturesExperience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS)Knowledge of security, compliance, and risk controls in regulated environmentsPrior experience working at JPMorgan Chase or other Tier-1 banks
