Accounting Clerk

FGC is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join its growing Accounting Team - this position is Full Time. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and detail oriented, have at least 2 years of relevant experience, and be well organized with a basic understanding of accounting principles. This position will be responsible for afternoon coverage of the accounting department and therefore will need to be available until 5:00 PM during the work week.Key Responsibilities:Manage daily workload, ensuring that deadlines are met, and work completed accuratelyProvide support to the accounting departmentCreation of sales orders and purchase ordersCreation of InvoicesBill EntryReviewing contracts as neededReviewing and authorizing customer credit applicationsSales order/purchase order review & clean upCompleting vendor credit applicationsCredit card reconciliationsOther duties as assigned by Accountant or ControllerQualifications: 2 years of relevant accounting experience and/or trainingIntermediate/advanced knowledge with all Microsoft Office programs, particularly ExcelIntermediate/advanced knowledge of QuickBooksKnowledge of financial principles and accounting terminologyExcellent time management skills and ability to multi-taskPerformance under pressureExceptional written and communication skillsPassion for business and financeSelf-motivated and self-directedAttention to detail
