Role SummaryMetaPhase is seeking a Data Analyst to support U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) through data-driven analysis, reporting, and operational insights. This role will support mission and business operations by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets to identify trends, improve processes, and inform executive decision-making.The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable translating technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. MetaPhase is seeking a polished, proactive professional with at least three years of relevant experience who is ready to make an immediate impact on our high-performing team!What You Will Be DoingData Analysis & ReportingCollect, analyze, validate, and interpret structured and unstructured data from multiple sources to support operational and strategic initiatives Develop recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate trends, performance metrics, and key findings Identify data anomalies, inconsistencies, and process gaps and recommend corrective actions or process improvements Translate complex analytical findings into concise, actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders Operational SupportSupport program and operational decision-making through quantitative and qualitative analysis Assist with data calls, executive briefings, and reporting requirements with accuracy and timeliness Monitor performance metrics and develop recommendations to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness Data Management & Process ImprovementMaintain data integrity through quality assurance reviews, validation processes, and documentation standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reporting processes, workflows, and data governance practices Develop SOPs, templates, and documentation to standardize reporting and analytical processes What We Need From You (Required)A minimum of three plus years of experience in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, or related analytical support rolesBachelor’s degree in data analytics, business, statistics, information systems, or a related fieldExperience analyzing large datasets and presenting findings to executive or operational stakeholdersStrong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detailExperience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar reporting and visualization toolsStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences Bonus Points (Desired) Active DHS Public Trust Clearance Experience supporting DHS or CBP programs Experience working in a federal consulting environment Familiarity with data governance, performance management, or operational metrics programs Experience with SharePoint, Power Automate, Python, or similar automation/reporting tools Work LocationWashington, DC or Indianapolis, INTravelLess than 10%Education LevelBachelor’s DegreeClearance LevelActive DHS Public Trust ClearanceU.S. Citizenship required (NO EXCEPTIONS)About MetaPhase ConsultingMetaPhase Consulting is different with a purpose - demonstrating a new approach to the industry that puts employees and culture first!
