We are currently seeking a Tactile Interpreter in New Mexico to support individuals who are deafblind through effective tactile interpretation and communication services.This role is responsible for facilitating accurate and professional communication while ensuring accessibility and support for clients in various settings. The ideal candidate will have experience with tactile interpreting, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to provide services in a professional and compassionate manner.Requirements:Proficiency in tactile interpreting techniques for individuals who are deaf-blind.Certification in interpreting, such as RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) or equivalent.Strong understanding of deaf-blind communication methods and cultural competency.Strong understanding of deaf-blind communication methods and cultural competency.Nice-to-have qualifications:Experience working as a tactile interpreter in a freelance or contractor capacity.Familiarity with assistive technologies and tools used by individuals who are deaf-blind.Ability to adapt to various environments and work with diverse clients.Experience providing interpreting services in New Mexico or similar regions.
