POSITION SUMMARY
Support ECRI's mission of advancing effective evidence-based healthcare worldwide while working alongside IT Development Managers, teams of ECRI Platform & Software Engineers, and our respected and accomplished business partners. The Business Systems Analyst III (BSA) facilitates working sessions between technical, the business stakeholders and the development team to create low, medium, and high complexity stories and acceptance criteria to support the development of high-quality desktop, browser-based and native mobile applications across multiple projects used by ECRI business users and thousands of organizations in the USA and worldwide. Essential Functions Statement(s):
Participate on an agile team as a Business Systems Analyst III
Independently leads working sessions with stakeholders to gather and document business needs and requirements. Understanding the why as well as the how.
Independently creates and defines low, medium and high complexity User Stories and Acceptance Criteria that meet the business unit's needs.
Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers
Partner with the development team to ensure defined User Stories are reflected in the technical design and development
Creates, edits, prioritizes and manages the backlog of release User Stories
Develop and conduct peer reviews of the acceptance criteria to ensure that requirements are correctly interpreted.
Participate in daily standup and retrospective meetings
Responsible for reviewing and accepting completed User Stories
Participate in Roadmap and Release planning including rough order of magnitude estimation activities.
Act as a liaison between technical, business SMEs and development team to ensure full understanding of business needs.
Be a recognized expert in responsible business processes.
Participate in the development of new business workflows and data architecture/ design
Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of the requirements to stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
Guide and advise less-experienced Business System Analysts
Partner with UX Designer to clearly define and document software design and usability.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
5+ years Business Systems Analyst or related experience
3+ years’ experience using Agile Methodologies (Kanban, SAFe, Scrum)
Applied knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle framework
Experience using issue tracking tools to manage the release process
Healthcare business experience preferred
Highly self-motivated and directed with a keen attention to detail
Experience interacting with business customers and managing expectations
Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentational skills
Proven experience working with cross-functional and virtual teams
Strong team player with ability to multi-task
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience
Computer Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite of products (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Proficient with use of Atlassian Jira or other issue tracking tools
Proficient with use of Atlassian Confluence or other collaboration tools
