Assistant Cheese Sales Manager

FULL-TIMEOPEN AVAILABILITY NEEDED$19.31 - $20.81 PER HOURGENERAL PURPOSE:The purpose of this position is to assist the Cheese Sales Manager with selling Harmons' specialty cheese items by giving remarkable customer service, and ensuring the department maintains quality standards and profitability. This person will assist in maintaining product levels of all products in the specialty cheese department. This person will have a passion for cheese and the ability to share that passion with our associates and customers. This person will help determine production and inventory levels for the cheese department.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Follows established departmental and store policies and proceduresEnsures the quality and freshness of all products and services the specialty cheese department providesEnsures the department is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearanceAssist with maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the departmentConfirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad itemsDelivers excellent customer service to all customersOrders product, creates production sheets to meet needs based on past and projected salesCuts, wraps, shreds and packages all types of cheeses for presentation and sale in the specialty cheese department and leads others to maintain the same standardsSamples cheeses to customers and sells cheeses and productsMakes fresh mozzarella, parmesan crisps, and other production itemsStocks and sets up olive bar and oil stationDetermines how much of each cheese should be pre-cut and packagedResponsible for inventory and ordering for the cheese islandSets a professional and positive example to othersCommunicates openly and frequently with Store Director, Cheese Buyer and other Support staffProvides honest, direct and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance and areas of improvementSlices meats and cheeses to order, provides product suggestions, and assists customers with special ordersEnsures company standards for safety, sanitation, service and productivity are maintainedContinually strives to be product minded, customer minded, personnel minded, detailed, forward focused and consistentQuarterly inventory of all specialty cheese productsMARGINIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs other job-related duties as assigned.NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS:Consistent and daily interaction with store associatesConsistent and daily interaction with customersTRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
