Full Stack Engineer (AI Code Review & Release Quality)
About SigParserSigParser is a fast growing B2B SaaS startup that extracts, enriches, and acts on relationship data from email and calendar systems. Our customers are sales, marketing, and business development teams at law firms, consulting firms, financial services companies, and other relationship-driven businesses who depend on their network to drive revenue. This is an in office position in Carlsbad, CA. You will be in the office five days per week working alongside the rest of the engineering team. We are not sponsoring visas (including H1B) for this role. You must already be authorized to work in the United States.About the RoleSigParser is looking for a driven full stack software engineer who is self directed and has an eye for good software design. This is a senior engineering role focused on reviewing AI-generated code, enforcing our SDLC process, and making sure we don't ship buggy software.Like most modern engineering teams, a significant portion of our code is now written with AI assistance. That has made us faster, but it also means the bar for human code review has gone up, not down. AI generates code that compiles and often passes tests but can miss edge cases, introduce subtle security issues, duplicate existing functionality, or drift from our architectural patterns. We need an experienced full stack engineer who can spot these problems and push back with authority. You will be the person who reads pull requests carefully, understands what the code actually does across the full stack, and decides whether it is ready to ship. You will own the release process from PR review through production deployment and post-release monitoring. We use AI coding tools like Claude Code heavily, and most of our code is now generated with AI assistance. Realistically, this means hands-on coding will be a small part of your day. The majority of your time will be spent prompting AI agents, reviewing PRs, running our release process, and improving how we ship. When you do write code, you will typically be directing AI tools to build out the operational side of the stack: monitoring, backend admin tooling, data quality checks, and the internal systems that help us run the product. You still need to be a strong full stack engineer because you cannot review what you cannot write yourself. This is primarily a software engineering role, but it does include meaningful platform and infrastructure work. You will monitor AWS RDS performance, work with CloudWatch logs and metrics, watch our PostgreSQL databases for health and performance issues, and own upgrades to our database servers. Solid AWS experience is a major plus. Required SkillsC# and .NET (5+ years) — you must be able to read complex backend code and judge whether it is correct, idiomatic, and safeTypeScript and JavaScript (3+ years)ReactSQL and PostgreSQL (3+ years), including administering and upgrading database serversAWS, especially RDS and CloudWatchGitHub (pull request workflows, Actions, branch protections)Regular ExpressionsDemonstrated experience reviewing other engineers' code at a high standardStrong understanding of the full SDLC: requirements, design, implementation, testing, release, monitoringWhat You'll DoReview pull requests with rigor. A lot of this code will be AI-generated and your job is to make sure it is correct, secure, performant, and consistent with the rest of the codebase.Enforce our SDLC process. Make sure changes are properly tested, documented, and reviewed before they reach production. We have a dedicated QA team to do 95% of the testing.Test hotfix PRs before they deploy to productionTrack QA testing status across active work and keep things movingDeploy code to production and own the release processUpgrade and maintain our PostgreSQL database serversMonitor production logs and AWS CloudWatch metrics, and catch errors before customers doImprove our backend admin tooling, monitoring, and data quality metrics so we have better visibility into how the product is performing and where customers are running into issuesProvide technical guidance to our developers and interns, especially around code quality, release readiness, and what "good" looks likeSecurity and Background ChecksSecurity is a critical piece of this role. SigParser handles highly sensitive customer data, including email and calendar contents, and our customers trust us to protect it. We are SOC 2 certified and you will help us stay that way. You will be expected to practice secure coding standards using best practices such as OWASP, to weigh security implications during every code review you perform, and to flag and escalate security concerns in PRs and in production. We require a background check for all hires, without exception. This applies to every employee at SigParser given the nature of the data we work with.If you feel you're a good fit then please apply.
