What You'll Do Lead the daily operations of our orthodontic appliance lab, managing production schedules to ensure timely and accurate delivery of high-quality orthodontic appliances. Oversee and support a dedicated team of approximately 12 employees, balancing hands-on involvement with confident leadership to maintain productivity and foster a positive work environment. Manage expedited and rush orders effectively, quickly identifying challenges and implementing solutions to keep production on track in a dynamic, fast-moving setting. Serve as a primary point of contact for minor case issues and general inquiries from orthodontists, collaborating with remote leadership and HR teams to address concerns and facilitate smooth operations. Identify skill gaps within the team and coordinate training efforts to support technician development during their critical 6 to 8 month ramp-up period, promoting continuous growth and improvement. Maintain clear communication channels between the lab floor and leadership, ensuring alignment on priorities and business goals despite geographic distance. Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and changing production demands, demonstrating flexibility and resourcefulness throughout the year’s peak and off-peak seasons. Promote a professional and respectful workplace by setting clear boundaries and expectations, building strong rapport without compromising your role as a confident manager.
