Janitorial Supervisor Cleveland/Willoughby

Description:Position Reports To: Director of Operations and/or Operations ManagerSchedule: Monday - Friday starting at 5:30 p.m.Supervise: Cleaning StaffBasic Function: Directly supervise, plan and organize cleaning activities at an assigned site or several sites. Ensure that cleaning duties conform to Specifications, Quality Assurance Plan and customer satisfaction requirements.Leadership Responsibilities:Note: This is not an all-inclusive list. Additional duties may be assigned.Leads by setting a good example.Supervise the work of cleaners at specific buildings.Initiate or follow-up on quality inspections.Assist the Director of Operations/Operations Manager in adhering to and improving work schedules.Assist HR through training and orienting new employees on specific buildings scope of work.Maintains communication with Operations and HR in regard to staffing issues.Makes necessary corrections and approves timecards weekly via the preferred timekeeping portalApprove cleaner requests for time off withing a 24 hour period of being submitted via the preferred timekeeping portalAssure that all cleaning functions are performed within their scheduled assignmentsCleaning Responsibilities:Restrooms Cleans and disinfects sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, etc. Replenishes bathroom supplies. Polishes metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.Floors Sweeps, mops, vacuums, floors using brooms, mops and vacuum cleaners. Other floor work may be required such as: scrubbing, waxing and polishing floors.Break rooms /Kitchenettes Cleans and disinfects sinks, countertops, tables, chairs, refrigerators, etc. Replenishes break room supplies.Dust Dusts furniture, equipment, partitions, etc.Trash Empties wastebaskets and recyclables and transports to disposal area.Vacuuming Cleans rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture, using vacuum cleaner (backpack),Other Spot clean walls and woodwork, washes windows, door panels, partitions, sills, and other job duties as assigned.Requirements:Physical DemandsWalk and stand Repetitive bending and lifting of itemsBend forward Kneel downCrawl Reach and graspPush and pull objects Repetitive arm movementsLift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
