In short, We Enable Possibility℠.Job SummaryThe Sr. Systems Engineer (Devops) is a hands-on technical expert responsible for enhancing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-scale CI/CD platforms, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native systems. This role requires advanced expertise in DevOps tooling, Kubernetes, and distributed systems, with a strong focus on reliability, scalability, and automation-first practices. The Sr. Systems Engineer (Devops) establishes and cultivates highly successful relationships with our business units, technical implementation teams, management and vendors.As a senior individual contributor, you will drive the evolution of our DevOps strategy by implementing automation frameworks, hardened infrastructure, and ensuring our platforms meet rigorous standards for availability, performance, and security. You will partner with other engineering and product teams to deliver resilient services that support mission-critical business applications.Essential Responsibilities & AccountabilitiesDesign, scale, and optimize enterprise CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Terraform, and HelmBuild and maintain developer self-service platforms using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and GitOps principlesEngineer resilient, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure across Amazon Web Services and Microsoft AzureDrive Kubernetes platform adoption, including advanced networking, deployments, and supporting resourcesStandardize immutable deployment practices through GitOps-based workflowsImplement automation frameworks for provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and operational efficiencyDefine, enforce, and monitor Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)Establish and operate observability platforms using DynatraceEmbed DevSecOps practices into CI/CD pipelines, including container, dependency, and image securityManage secrets and identities securely using enterprise secrets management solutionsDesign, test, and validate multi-region / multi-cloud disaster recovery strategies to meet RTO/RPO targetsProvide technical leadership across teams by translating business requirements into DevOps roadmaps and mentoring engineersKnowledge & SkillsDeep expertise in cloud platforms, with strong focus on Azure and experience with AWSHands-on mastery of Kubernetes, containerization, and service mesh technologiesStrong background in Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps tools, including Terraform, Terragrunt, Helm, and ArgoCDProficiency in scripting / programming languages such as Python, Go, Bash, and PowerShellAdvanced understanding of:CI/CD best practicesGitOps methodologiesProgressive delivery strategies (canary, blue/green, rolling deployments)Solid understanding of networking concepts and cloud networking architecturesStrong foundation in distributed systems, scalability, resiliency, and fault toleranceExperience implementing observability platforms and participating in incident responseStrong knowledge of modern security practices, secrets management, and compliance frameworksExcellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsGood interpersonal skills; able to collaborate effectively with staff and internal customersHigh attention to detailStrong customer service orientation with urgency around maintaining service levelsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field5+ years of relevant hands-on experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering / Platform Engineering environmentsFor individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.$120,000 - $175,000/yearTotal individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
