This is a remote/telecommute position. Candidates must reside in the United States to be consideredJob Title: Senior Data EngineerSalary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 per yearHours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (although this is a remote position, you will be expected to match the team's hours in EST)Job SummaryCosan Group is seeking a senior-level data engineer, preferably with healthcare experience, to join our small (5 person) Engineering Team. The Senior Data Engineer will ensure the integrity, security, and reliability of Cosan’s application and reporting databases; design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines; perform client integrations to handle data going into and out of our systems; and provide accurate reporting to both internal and external stakeholders.Responsibilities And Tasks Maintain and proactively monitor a variety of Azure SQL databases – development, testing, production, reporting – to ensure reliability and high performance Design and develop new (and enhance some existing) ETL pipelines to move data from our OLTP databases to our OLAP database Create and maintain integration processes to ingest data from and provide data to our clients Design, develop, and maintain processes to sanitize, aggregate and normalize datasets from various sources Assist software engineers (your teammates) with writing and tuning T-SQL queries/stored procedures, debugging/tuning EF queries, and designing new data models Provide accurate reporting to internal teams and external clients, via Power BI reports, a proprietary dashboard, and ad-hoc reportingQualifications And Skills Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Health Informatics) 5+ years of experience working with database administration, data warehousing, and/or data analytics Deep knowledge of relational database and data warehousing concepts Experience administering, maintaining and tuning Microsoft SQL Server databases, preferably in an Azure cloud environment Strong T-SQL skills, with the ability to develop sophisticated and complex queries in support of reporting, data analysis, and batch processing tasks Experience with ETL tools, preferably Azure Data Factory or SSIS Experience with Microsoft reporting tools, preferably Power BI or SSRS Familiarity with Entity Framework Familiarity with at least one of the following coding languages: C# (preferred), JavaScript, Java, Python Experience working with HL7, CCDA, FHIR and/or other healthcare data standards Comfortable working with Microsoft DevOps tools (or similar) for source control and project planning, and familiar with Agile methodologiesIn addition to awesome teammates, we also offer:Paid Time OffPaid Company HolidaysMedical/Dental/Vision InsuranceComplementary Life InsuranceBenefits Hub featuring local and national discounts401k planOptional short term, long term disability, critical illness & accidentAll necessary equipment to do your work (e.g., laptop, monitor, headset etc.)Monthly stipend to support internet access for remote workersEmployee Assistance Program, including mental health resourcesPowered by JazzHRTAvKi67Ymd
