CNC Milling Machinist

Job descriptionJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Milling Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and program CNC milling machines, including HAAS VF-3YT/50 machines, to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technology, contribute to innovative projects, and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to manufacturing excellence.ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines such HAAS VF-3YT/50 with VPSRead and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and specifications to ensure precise manufacturing.Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision measuring instruments to verify part accuracy.Maintain high standards of safety by properly handling tooling, power tools, hand tools, and other manufacturing tools while adhering to safety protocols.Conduct routine machine maintenance, inspections, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction.QualificationsProven experience as a CNC Machinist with proficiency in HAAS VF-3YT/50 with VPSStrong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings.Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines accurately.Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of milling stainless steel and nickel alloysBasic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings.Ability to hold tolerance to +/- .005 or better and perform quality control checks on finished partsExperience working with HAAS VPS requiredAbility to operate hand tools, power tools, tooling equipment, forklifts (certification preferred), and support assembly tasks when required.Experience with non-production workMinimum of 3+ years of CNC machining experienceFull-timeMedical, Dental, Vision, Life, PTOPlease contact Rachel Bicksler: rachel.bicksler@tmcvalves.com
