High School instructors must be appropriately credentialed in the discipline they wish to teach.Applicants must upload all required CCP documentation - including resume, transcripts, and credential verification - as a single PDF file to be considered for the position.This is not a paid position with Sinclair College.Principal AccountabilitiesPlan, organize, and deliver college instruction in ways which maximize student learningPrepare, distribute and submit syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policiesEmploy appropriate college-level teaching and learning strategiesModify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needsEmploy available instructional technology when appropriate, according to academic department policiesMaintain familiarity with College goals, mission and long-range plansRequirementsMust be a current high school teacher, licensed and teaching in the state of Ohio requiredMust have a master's degree or equivalent to meet the Higher Learning Commission requirements for the subject areaTo teach general education courses, the candidate must have a master's degree in the content area or a master's degree with at least 18 semester credit hours of graduate coursework in the content areaTo be credentialed using equivalent experience (not having full 18 semester credit hours in the content area):Candidate must have a degree, a credential, a certification or equivalent experience related to the course(s) to be taught, as determined by the Chief Academic Officer after receiving input from the department chair and division deanThis equivalent experience must be documented and uploaded with the other supporting documents in the applicationDemonstrate a thorough and accurate knowledge of the field or disciplineDisplay an ability to interpret and evaluate theories in the field or disciplineStay current in subject matter through professional developmentDemonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies shown to help students succeed at the college course and program levelCopies of all transcripts and equivalent experience documentation must be scanned as one document and uploaded to the CCP Documentation link to be considered for the position.
