Corporate sustainability – both environmental and social – is at the forefront of our decision making. Role DescriptionServe as the lead electrical engineer responsible for the design, development, and integration of electronics for Nanopath’s diagnostic platformOwn system-level electrical architecture, including PCB design, power management, signal integrity, and integration with embedded software and mechanical subsystemsDesign and develop circuits supporting motion control, fluid actuation, thermal management, and optical detection systemsLead bring-up, debugging, and validation of prototypes and production hardwareCollaborate with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical, systems, assay) to define requirements and ensure seamless system integrationDevelop and maintain documentation in compliance with ISO 13485QualificationsB.S. or M.S. electrical engineering or related technical discipline with at least 4 years of industry experienceAbility to work on-site full-time in Cambridge, MAExcellent communication and presentation skills, highly organized with demonstrated curiosity, scientific rigor and creative problem-solvingProactive self-starter with eagerness to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic startup environmentPassion for technology translation and willingness to shape Nanopath’s futureStrong experience in analog and digital circuit design, including mixed-signal systemsStrong experience with embedded systems and microcontroller-based designsProficiency in PCB design tools and schematic capture/layout best practicesBackground in designing systems with precise thermal control, motor control, fluidic actuation, or optical detectionExperience developing hardware for medical devices regulated to ISO 13485 and IEC 61010Experience supporting hardware verification, validation, and troubleshooting through all development phasesExposure to manufacturing processes, including PCB fabrication, assembly, and test
