Payroll Specialist
We are seeking an experienced HR/Payroll professional to support a public-sector organization through a system implementation and stabilization period. This role will play a critical part in benefits administration, HRIS/HCM implementation support, and payroll validation efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and comfortable working onsite 4–5 days per week.Top PrioritiesExperience working in the public sector (K-12 school districts, community colleges, or county offices preferred)Strong background in Benefits AdministrationExperience supporting or participating in HRIS/HCM system implementations, ideally with CGI Advantage ERPHands-on involvement in system testing, data validation, and parallel payroll processingAbility to work onsite 4–5 days per weekPerform detailed data validation and discrepancy troubleshootingProvide support during system go-live and post-production stabilizationNice to Have (Not Required)Experience coordinating retirement benefits such as CalPERS or CalSTRSERP implementation experience within education environmentsAccounting background with exposure to:IOCDL (Infer Object by Labor Distribution Classification)PAM (Privileged Access Management) processes
