Applied AI Solutions Lead- Finance

Our client is looking for a hands-on builder to join a lean, high-performing corporate finance organization and lead its AI and automation effort across five functions: Internal Audit, Accounting, FP&A, Tax, and Treasury.This is not a strategy role. The expectation is simple - sit with smart finance professionals, understand their recurring pain points, and ship solutions they actually use. Quickly and repeatedly.ResponsibilitiesYou’ll work directly alongside each finance function, translating day-to-day operational friction into practical, usable tools. This includes building lightweight automations, AI-assisted workflows, and integrations within a Microsoft 365 and Oracle environment, leveraging platforms such as Copilot alongside large language model tools like ChatGPT and Claude.A significant portion of the work will involve document-heavy processes (such as tax workpapers, audit support files, and compliance documentation), structuring and normalizing data across multiple entities, and enabling secure connectivity to external data sources with appropriate governance and controls. You will also evaluate AI-enabled SaaS products and help determine when it is more effective to adopt existing solutions versus building custom capabilities.The role sits within the Finance organization rather than IT, with a dotted line into Information Security to ensure appropriate risk management and governance oversight.Requirements7-12 years of relevant experience Finance, accounting, computer science, engineering, or related degree A track record of building tools and automations that others rely on, not prototypes that live in a demoHands-on coding ability (Python at minimum) and comfort working directly with APIsReal LLM platform experience, knowing when to prompt, when to build, and how to manage output quality and hallucination risk in high-stakes environmentsComfort with unstructured data: PDFs, Excel files, Word documents, email threadsThe judgment to push back on a poorly-formed use case and redirect it productivelyExposure to finance workflowsExperience integrating AI tools with SaaS platforms via APIUnderstanding of information security considerations around AI deployment and external data connections JobID: 48175
