CFO Capital Markets

OverviewWe’re partnered with a global, multi-platform financial institution undergoing continued expansion across its capital markets and financing businesses. They’ve built out a complex structured funding / broker-dealer platform and are looking to bring on a CFO-level leader to sit on the executive team and take full ownership of finance.This is not a “keep the lights on” CFO — this person will build, refine, and scale the finance function, with heavy exposure to structured products, regulatory capital, and multi-entity reporting. You’ll be stepping into a highly visible seat, working directly with senior leadership, risk, and regulators.ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end financial reporting across a multi-entity structure (monthly close, consolidation, disclosures)Act as the technical accounting lead for complex financing products (TRS, repo, securities lending, swaps, etc.) under US GAAPOversee regulatory capital and reporting for a registered broker-dealer environment (net capital, liquidity, etc.)Partner cross-functionally with Risk, Compliance, and Front Office on exposure, margin, and reporting frameworksLead efforts to upgrade and scale finance infrastructure (systems, reporting processes, automation)Build and enhance controls, governance, and audit readiness in a regulated environmentServe as the primary liaison to auditors, regulators, and external stakeholdersHire, develop, and lead a high-performing finance teamQualifications15+ years of experience across accounting / finance within financial services, with clear leadership progressionPrior experience in a broker-dealer, structured financing, or capital markets platformDeep expertise in technical accounting for derivatives / structured products (repo, swaps, securities lending, etc.)Strong understanding of regulatory capital frameworks (SEC / FINRA or similar)Proven track record managing multi-entity structures and complex reporting environmentsExperience driving process improvement, system builds, or finance transformation initiativesCPA required; additional credentials (CFA, MBA) are a plusComfortable operating in a high-growth, build-oriented environment with executive visibility
