MAIN FUNCTION:The Executive Director is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and oversight of the Agency in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern home care facilities to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to the patients at all times.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for the provision and quality of all agency clinical and administrative activities as prescribed by all regulatory agencies such as NJDOH, Joint Commission, Medicare and Medicaid.Develops and maintains written objectives, philosophy, patients' rights, agency organizational plan, staff competency plan, policies and procedures.Participates in the development of agency short and long range plans.Oversees the activities and functioning of agency supervisors and coordinators and their respective areas of responsibility. Assures for performance appraisals.Overall responsibility for all aspects of agency personnel practices including hiring, termination, transfers, approves all salary increases and staff promotions.Responsible for the outcome of inspections conducted by the NJDOH, Joint Commission, Medicare and by other regulatory agencies.Assist in the establishment and maintenance of an adequate accounting system to ensure optimal operating cost and revenue for the Agency.Ensure that adequate financial records and cost report information are submitted to the proper authorities to ensure all thorough and timely reporting requirements.Coordinates activities of the Professional Advisory Committee.Services as ex-officio member of the Governing Body.Communicates completely and clearly at all times. Listens attentively and clarifies understanding. Explains what is happening.Attitude of pride and professionalism. Is accountable for actions and environment.Make routine inspections of the Agency to assure that established policies and procedures are being implemented and followed.Ensures integrity of all payroll submissions and monitors along with coordinator of payroll. Actively pursues new and innovative marketing opportunities.Respect privacy and confidentiality Initiates action and obtains resolution.Responds promptly, professionally and patiently. Work collaboratively.Nurture by supporting all customers. Acts with courtesy, care, concern and compassion. Educates others by sharing knowledge and expertise.Directs installation of improved work methods and procedures to ensure achievement of objectives of the Agency.Safety. Through the continuous improvement of standards of practice and by providing a safe and secure environment the customer will be assured a sense of safety and wellbeing, free from risk and harm.Ensure completion of and review all accident/incident reports while ensuring an affective accident prevention program for all patient and employees.Maintains professional identity. Assures that the agency is affiliated with professional home care organizations. Maintains knowledge base and anticipates changing trends.EDUCATION:Master's Degree preferably in Nursing or a health-related field. (Not required)Must have 2 years of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care or in health care setting.Baccalaureate degree in administration or a health-related field and four years of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care or in a health care setting.Other Qualifications:Must possess the ability to make independent decisions.Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.Must be knowledgeable of reimbursement regulations and nursing policies and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long term/subacute care administration.Must possess the ability to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures set forth by the facility/company that are necessary for providing quality care and maintaining a sound operation and Culture of Excellence.Salary: $150k with 15% bonusWork on-site
