Provide and develop individual leadership and skillset in all areas of the sow farm.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS• Provide labor, train employees on protocols, and provide direction to ensure efficiency• Ability to communicate effectively, teach and work with diversified work environment• Assist and execute training as assigned by supervisor• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task• Overnight travel required• Maintain PIPESTONE core valuesPOSITION SPECIFICATIONSEducation: 2-4-year degree in Agriculture or equal experienceExperience:1+ Years Livestock Experience with high school diploma preferredTraining: Mypipestone as assignedWorkEnvironment: Agricultural swine environment in rural areaNoise levels that require hearing protection in some areasGestation, farrowing, and small swine care processesPhysicalRequirements: Standing, walking and ability to be on feet 8 to 10 hours per dayFrequent bending, reaching, squatting and kneelingFrequent use of one or both hands/arms to grasp or pullFrequent lifting of objects weighing 3-20 poundsOccasional bending while pulling and/or lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds, or requiring up to 50 pounds of force to moveOccasional bending while pulling and/or lifting objects weighing up to 100 pounds or requiring up to 100 pounds of force to move with the assistance of another person as neededAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingAbility to attend and participate in meetings of various lengthsAdditionalRequirements:Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation to get to work and attend meetings
