PC Technician
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Troubleshoots, repairs, installs, and maintains PC-related hardware on the networkOrganizes and prioritizes requests for service and on an as-needed basis; works with vendors to resolve hardware and software problemsVisits departments throughout the company to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain data equipment problems, including workstations, portable/laptop computers, scanners, monitors, printers, telephones, and other peripheralsDelivers, sets up, and assists in the configuration of end-user PC desktop hardware, software, and peripheralsTracks inventory by staff member and workstation and ensures this information is updated and accurate in the call tracking systemDiagnoses and resolves end-user network or local printer problems, PC hardware problems and server, email, internet, dial-in VPN, and local-area network access problemsPlans, schedules and coordinates new operating systems releases, security patches, and preventative maintenance changesCoordinates work orders for the installation of new equipment and recycles old equipment; ensures all necessary software and data is migrated and network connectivity is established Competencies:Service: We align our actions and decision making with the organization's guiding platform keeping our patients at the center of all we do.Change Agent: We support and contribute to positive change in the organization.Communication and Interpersonal Relations: We communicate honestly and with compassion to build connections with our patients and each other.Effectiveness: We take ownership of work, doing the right thing for our customer and doing it well. Education and Experience Requirements:High school diploma or GED requiredAssociate's degree in Computer Science or related field from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent preferredOne year of experience in a similar position and/or performing similar tasks preferredAdvanced working knowledge of Microsoft and Google suitesBasic working knowledge of EMR systems preferred Environmental/Working Conditions: Working environment is in an office/clinic setting. Frequent work outside of business hours including evenings and weekends. Physical/Mental Demands:Sit, stand, walk, stoop or kneel, crouch or crawl, and climb stairs for extended periods of time.Requires lifting, carrying and/or moving objects in a manner consistent with most office environments (generally, no more than 10 pounds on a frequent basis and 20 pounds on an occasional basis).Finger dexterity for typing on a keyboard and using a mouse for extended periods of time; ability to twist hands or wrists repetitively.Possess full range of motion in shoulders and arms, including reaching above or below the shoulder.Vision (e.g., depth perception, color vision, strong vision up close); hearing (e.g., high pitch sounds, soft or distant sounds).
