Job Title:Project Manager - This position is open to local AZ candidates only.Location: Phoenix, AZDuration: 6 Months ContractInterview: In PersonPosition OverviewThis role requires hands-on involvement throughout the planning, design, and construction lifecycle and close coordination with operations staff, contractors, consultants, and multiple City departments.Key ResponsibilitiesManage CIP rehabilitation and replacement projects at facilities and within public right-of-way Develop project scopecost estimates, and support long-range infrastructure planningLead procurement and administration of construction contractsPerform technical review of engineering design plans, drawings, and specifications Coordinate design and construction activities with customers, operations teams, and City departments Oversee consultants and contractor performance, including review of proposals, permits, and payment applications Ensure integration of final construction documentation into Work and Asset Management SystemsProvide oversight across water and wastewater infrastructure projects including assessments, rehabilitation, and new installations Required Skills:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field Minimum 3 years of experience in civil engineering, architecture, or related field At least 3 years of hands-on experience in water/wastewater design, plan review, inspection, construction, or project management Minimum 2 years of experience managing consultants and contractors on Capital Improvement Projects or large private infrastructure projects Experience developing scopes of work, reviewing proposals, permitting, reviewing design and construction drawings, and approving payment applications Arizona Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred
