Northstrat is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both back-end and front-end development, bringing a wealth of knowledge in multiple programming languages and frameworks. This role demands a self-starter who can take vaguely defined tasks and independently deliver high-quality solutions.The programs produce Mission Management web applications for the Intelligence Community, leveraging cloud-based microservices architecture.ResponsibilitiesUtilize Java, including JEE and REST web services, for back-end developmentCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new featuresProduce detailed specifications and write software codeWork closely with system engineers and SMEs to understand functional requirementsCreate unit tests and integration tests while supporting formal testingProvide input into training manuals for usersMaintain knowledge of feature and technical changes in the applicationApply Agile software development methodologies in your workParticipate in code reviews, testing, and debuggingContribute to architectural decisions and the evolution of our tech stackRequirementsBachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experienceMust have at least 5+ years of relevant experienceStrong Java skills, including JEE and REST web services are requiredExperience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgresFamiliarity with Linux environmentsExperience with Java microservice application and interface design and developmentUnderstanding of Agile Scrum practices and traditional waterfall projectsAn Active or current Top-Secret clearance with SCI access (TSSCI) is required with a FS/PolyPreferred QualificationsExperience developing microservices using Spring Boot and the Spring FrameworkExperience working with scalable and distributed message bus such as Apache KafkaExperience applying DevOps best practices and leveraging tools such as Git, Jenkins, and DockerExperience developing secure RESTful web services integrating Identity Management tools such as Keycloak and LDAPAbility to work with container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes, Docker, and HelmKnowledge of in-memory storage solutions (Redis) as well as AWS S3-compliant object storesExperience applying DevOps best practices in day-to-day software developmentBenefitsNorthstrat values true work life balance.
