Manager Clinical PharmacyThe Manager, Clinical Pharmacy is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, coordinating, and managing high-quality pharmaceutical care services in alignment with our mission and values. This role ensures safe, effective, and cost-conscious medication therapy while maintaining the highest professional and regulatory standards. The Pharmacy Manager serves as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for one or more pharmacies and ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This position plays a key leadership role in clinical pharmacy advancement, operational excellence, medication safety, and staff development.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & ManagementProvide leadership and oversight for pharmacy services, caregivers, and operational workflowsSupport staff development, education, well-being, and succession planningRepresent the ministry or region on system, regional, and local committeesCollaborate with executive, clinical, and operational leadersClinical & Medication SafetyOversee medication formulary management and order-set standardizationAdvance clinical pharmacy initiatives and multidisciplinary team collaborationPromote medication safety through surveillance, education, and continuous improvementReduce clinical variation and enhance evidence-based medication useOperations & ComplianceEnsure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and legal requirementsServe as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), maintaining pharmacy and personnel complianceImplement new pharmacy technologies and operational processesOptimize purchasing, inventory management, and cost-effective medication useCoordinate onboarding and continuing education for pharmacy and non-pharmacy staffFinancial & Strategic ResponsibilitiesAssist with budgeting, productivity, and financial performanceSupport investigational drug servicesAlign pharmacy operations with system and regional strategic goalsReporting StructureReports directly to Regional Pharmacy Leadership (Senior Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacy Service Area Director, or Regional Executive Director)May indirectly report to executive administration at the ministry levelOversees frontline caregivers and/or department leadership extendersRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree from an accredited College of PharmacyOregon Pharmacist License (required upon hire)2 years of pharmacy experience in an applicable practice areaPreferred QualificationsPharmD degree1 year of pharmacy management or leadership experience
