Hvac Repair Senior Technician

If this sounds like the perfect fit for you, apply now!Responsibilities:Present customers with a total for the HVAC services, repairs, and installationTest newly installed components to ensure proper functionFulfill preventative maintenance and warranty services for customersPerform maintenance and installation of HVAC equipment in homes and businessesInterpret and apply electrical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and wiring diagramsAs a Senior Service Technician, you will independently diagnose, service, repair, and maintain a wide range of commercial HVAC equipment, including:Water Source Heat Pump systems (Horizontal and Vertical)Cooling towers (40 to 250+ tons), mechanical yards, boilers, pumps, and VFD systemsAir-cooled and water-cooled chillers (small to large tonnage)Hydronic piping systems: condenser water, chilled water, hot water, refrigeration, and condensate systemsVentilation systems, including 100% outside air (OA), exhaust systems (general, environmental, chemical, and process)Four-pipe systems (chilled water and heating hot water)Rooftop packaged units, split systems, and conventional DX systemsVRF / VRV systems, including heat recovery systems (installation and service experience preferred)VAV systems and associated hot water heating systemsDuct systems, including S&D, TDC, stainless steel, coated PVS, and custom sheet metal fabricationAdditional Responsibilities Include:Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and control systemsLead service calls independently and provide technical guidance when neededSupport installation, repair, and preventive maintenance programsMentor and assist junior technicians in troubleshooting and best practicesCommunicate professionally with customers regarding system conditions and recommendationsAccurately complete service reports and documentation using mobile applicationsMaintain safety standards and company quality expectationsQualifications:Candidate must obtain required state and local HVAC technician licensesCandidate must have a clean driving record and a valid driver's licenseProvide outstanding communication to a diverse group of customers and a good problem-solverAbility to lift 50 lbs or 100 lbs with aidWe require candidates have a high school diploma or GEDMinimum 7+ years of commercial HVAC service experienceStrong experience with chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, and advanced HVAC systemsProficient in electrical diagnostics, piping systems, and controls troubleshootingAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong customer service and communication skillsValid driver's license and clean driving recordAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders and rooftopsBasic trade tools requiredAbility to use mobile service applications and digital reporting toolsPreferred (but not required):VRF / VRV certificationsHVAC technical school or formal trainingExperience mentoring techniciansSheet metal fabrication experienceAbout Company:We are a leading commercial HVAC company based in the heart of San Diego (Kearny Mesa).
