In alignment with ComWell’s Mission, Vision, and Values, the Substance Use Manager provides leadership and oversight of ComWell’s Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery spectrum of care. This includes outpatient substance use programs, associated service activities, and related substance use grants. The Substance Use Manager is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of client care and the overall client experience are functioning at optimal levels. This role provides leadership and support to staff, promotes quality and effective service delivery, and ensures program operations comply with applicable state regulations, grant requirements, and ComWell policies and procedures using a trauma-informed and recovery-oriented approach. Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and oversight of Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery services and related outpatient programs Support the delivery of high-quality, person-centered substance use services Ensure program operations and services comply with applicable state regulations, grant requirements, and ComWell policies and procedures Provide supervision, guidance, and support to assigned staff Monitor program activities, documentation, and service delivery to promote quality and positive client outcomes Oversee activities related to substance use grants and ensure applicable requirements are met Promote trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and person-centered practices throughout service delivery Coordinate services and collaborate with internal teams, external providers, and community partners Support continuous quality improvement and program development Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements May maintain a small caseload of clients as needed Promote a positive environment that supports client choice, dignity, independence, and recovery. Qualifications: CADC or an equivalent licensure/certification through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation required Bachelor’s degree in a social service field preferred Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in the substance use field preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills Excellent computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude while providing exemplary customer service Commitment to person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented care Valid driver’s license and proof of valid automobile insurance Must meet expectations required by CANTS check, criminal record, and Health Care Workers Background Check Job Type: Full-time Pay: $53,800.00 - $59,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee assistance program Flexible schedule Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Retirement plan Application Question(s): Must meet expectations required by CANTS check, criminal record, and Health Care Workers Background Check Education: Bachelor's (Required) Experience: Supervisory in Substance Use: 2 years (Preferred) License/Certification: CADC or equivalent (Required) Work Location: In person
