This role directly oversees and supervises the work of housekeeping room attendants.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.- Always approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.- Promote a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.- Should have an eye for detail and the ability to effectively deal with guests, other departments and housekeeping staff.- Obtain list of vacant rooms to be cleaned immediately & list of prospective checkouts or discharges in order to prepare work assignments.- To be aware of the day's business both in Room Occupancy, Special Requirements and VIP needs.- Liaise with Reception regarding room moves, VIP guests, special needs and act on any information given.- Excellent knowledge on how to inspect properties.- Daily inspections of all guest rooms, public areas, recreational area for cleanliness, appearance and to make sure these areas are kept as per the hotel's standards.- Ensure that company standards for guest services, décor, and housekeeping services are met or exceeded.- Conduct meetings and training sessions as and when required.- To actively train all staff to the standards laid down in the training manual and monitor their work performance.- Perform other duties as assigned by management.Qualifications1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.2. Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience in the hospitality industry preferred.3. Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English in order to communicate with guests and team members.4. Have a strong attention to details.5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a high degree of autonomy.
