Confidential Employer.Job DescriptionHandle a litigation caseload in which at least 50%, and likely more, of the matters involve personal injuryManage the remainder of the caseload in commercial litigation mattersRepresent clients in depositions, court hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedingsServe as lead counsel in smaller arbitrations and trials and as second chair or co-lead in larger mattersConduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy and case developmentDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal filingsAdvise clients on litigation strategy, case evaluation, dispute resolution, and risk managementParticipate in settlement negotiations and work toward favorable outcomesCollaborate with attorneys, staff, clients, and experts to move matters forward effectivelyOversee litigation from discovery and motion practice through trial preparation and post-trial proceedingsMaintain accurate timekeeping and support timely billing and documentationQualificationsJD from an accredited law schoolActive Texas Bar membership in good standing2+ years of litigation experience in commercial litigation, personal injury, or another relevant civil litigation practiceExperience handling depositions, hearings, and courtroom advocacyStrong legal writing, research, and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple matters with professionalism and attention to detailStrong organizational and communication skillsComfortable working independently and collaborativelyExperience with trial preparation and litigation strategy preferredPrior personal injury experience preferred, but not requiredWhy You Will Love Working HereThis is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants substantive litigation experience, meaningful responsibility, and a practice that offers both variety and courtroom exposure.
