Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Job Description Position Summary:Perform clinical duties efficiently under the direction of a physician. Knowledgeable of all procedures and proficient to answer general questions regarding GI issues.Responsibilities:Interview patients to obtain medical information including chief complaint and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.Reconcile all patient medicationsAuthorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.Manage prescriptions and test results phone line to follow up with patients and physicians.Requirements:Current MA certification or certified within 90 days of hireCPR certificationExcellent computer skills, including utilizing the Electronic Medical Record (EPIC) for all documentationAbility to multi-task while maintaining attention to detailHigh level of personal accountability
