Position Summary
The Pastry Chef will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of baked goods and desserts, primarily focusing on ice cream cakes, cookies, brownies, and cupcakes, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation meet our high standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Decorating ice cream cakes.
· Prepare all baked goods, including but not limited to cookies, brownies, and cupcakes, following established recipes and standards.
· Expertly decorate ice cream cakes for custom orders and regular inventory, showcasing creativity and precision.
· Manage inventory of baking ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with all food safety standards.
· Assist in developing new and seasonal dessert items to enhance our menu.
· Ensure timely production to meet daily operational needs and special-order deadlines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on professional experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker.
· Demonstrated expertise in decorating cakes, including frosting techniques, piping, and fondant work (a portfolio or examples may be requested).
· Proven ability to consistently bake high-quality cookies, brownies, and cupcakes.
· Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient function, and food safety protocols.
· Excellent time management and organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a small, dynamic team.
· Must be highly reliable and punctual.
· Must possess reliable, independent transportation to ensure consistent attendance.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
Work Location: In person
