Mobile Crisis (QMHP/LMHP)Role SummaryWe are seeking compassionate and dedicated Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHPs) and Licensed Mental Health Professionals (LMHPs) to join our Mobile Crisis Response team. This position provides immediate, community-based crisis intervention and support to individuals experiencing behavioral health emergencies. Team members work directly in the community to assess needs, de-escalate crises, develop safety plans, and connect individuals with appropriate services and resources.What Success Looks LikeResponds promptly and professionally to crisis calls.Effectively assesses risk and develops appropriate intervention plans.Builds trust and rapport with individuals, families, and community partners.Completes accurate documentation within required timeframes.Helps reduce unnecessary hospitalizations, arrests, and emergency room visits.Contributes positively to a collaborative and supportive team environment.How This Role Fits Into the OrganizationThe Mobile Crisis Clinician plays a critical role in the organization's mission to provide timely behavioral health services and crisis stabilization within the community. This position serves as a frontline responder, helping individuals access the care and support they need while promoting safety and recovery.ResponsibilitiesRespond to behavioral health crisis calls in community settings.Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and risk evaluations.Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and stabilization services.Develop safety plans and coordinate appropriate levels of care.Collaborate with hospitals, law enforcement, schools, families, and community agencies.Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.Participate in on-call, evening, weekend, and holiday coverage as assigned.Attend required trainings, supervision, and team meetings.Follow all policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards.QualificationsRequiredCurrent Mobile Crisis Team (MCT) Training certification required, or ability to provide proof of completion prior to employment.Active QMHP certification/eligibility or LMHP licensure in Virginia.Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field (QMHP).Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field (LMHP).Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Ability to pass background screening and credentialing requirements.Strong crisis intervention and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.PreferredPrevious experience in crisis services, community-based behavioral health, emergency services, or case management.Knowledge of trauma-informed care and person-centered practices.Experience working with diverse populations and community resources.Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.Willingness to complete Mobile Crisis Response (MCR) training during onboarding.BenefitsCompetitive payFlexible scheduling opportunitiesProfessional development and trainingSupportive team environmentOpportunity to make a meaningful impact in the communityJoin our team and help provide life-changing crisis support when individuals need it most.
