Computer Field Technician

Wiseman and Co., LLC is based in SW MO. This is a traveling technician position, currently working in New York. We are seeking a detail-oriented Field Technician to support infrastructure cleanup and equipment refresh projects. This role focuses on organizing, labeling, and removing legacy equipment while maintaining clear communication with team members and clients.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform rack cleanups to improve organization, airflow, and accessibilityLabel equipment, cables, and ports accurately and consistentlyDeinstall and remove legacy or decommissioned equipmentOrganize and dress large volumes of network and power cablingFollow documentation standards and update labels or records as requiredMaintain a clean, safe, and professional work environmentCommunicate progress, issues, and completion status to project leads or clientsRequired Skills & QualificationsStrong organizational skills with high attention to detailAbility to label, trace, and manage large quantities of cablesClear verbal and written communication skillsAbility to follow standards, diagrams, and instructionsComfortable working in racks, closets, or data center environmentsAbility to work independently or as part of a teamBasic understanding of IT or network equipment (preferred but not required)Preferred TraitsMethodical and process-driven mindsetPride in clean, well-documented workReliable, punctual, and professional
