Role: Senior SAP FS-RI Consultant (Reinsurance Management)Location: RemoteDuration: 12 months Description: Must Have Technical/Functional Skills: Strong hands-on experience with SAP FS-RI (Reinsurance) configuration and supportProven reinsurance domain expertise, including:Treaty & Facultative reinsuranceProportional and non-proportional structuresCeded and Assumed reinsuranceExperience with treaty/contract setup, premium calculation, postings, and estimationsFunctional knowledge of claims processing, recoveries, commissions, settlements, UPR, and reinstatement premiumsStrong understanding of reinsurance accounting principlesExperience supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesIntegration experience with:SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR)SAP FS-CDAbility to analyze posting logic, document flow, reconciliation issues, and data discrepanciesExperience supporting SIT, UAT, and production issuesAbility to prepare functional specifications and support business requirement discussionsExposure to SAP and non-SAP system interfacesBasic ABAP debugging/log analysis skillsInsurance/Reinsurance industry experience is mandatory6+ years of SAP experience with 3+ years of hands-on SAP FS-RI experienceRoles & ResponsibilitiesAnalyze business requirements related to reinsurance processes and translate them into SAP FS-RI functional solutionsConfigure and support SAP FS-RI for treaty and facultative reinsurance, including proportional and non-proportional structuresSet up and maintain reinsurance contracts, treaties, sections, and participation structuresSupport premium calculation, estimations, postings, claims, recoveries, commissions, and settlementsEnsure accurate reinsurance accounting and postings to SAP S/4HANA FinanceEnsure accurate reinsurance accounting and postings to SAP S/4HANA FinanceManage UPR, reinstatement premiums, and period-end reinsurance activitiesSupport month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes related to reinsuranceWork closely with Finance, Actuarial, and Business stakeholders to resolve functional issuesSupport and coordinate system integration with SAP FS-CD, SAP FI, and upstream/downstream systemsPrepare and maintain functional specifications, configuration documents, and test scenariosSupport SIT, UAT, defect resolution, and production issuesAnalyze and resolve posting errors, reconciliation issues, and data discrepanciesEnsure compliance with internal controls, audit, and regulatory requirementsParticipate in change management, transports, and release activitiesProvide knowledge transfer and support to onshore/offshore teams as requiredGeneric Managerial Skills, If anyStrong communication skills for stakeholder management across business, IT, and leadership groupsAbility to manage multiple workstreams, prioritize tasks, and deliver within timelinesProblem-solving mindset with attention to detail and ability to work independentlyAbility to mentor junior team members and support knowledge transferExperience in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and backlog managementBest RegardsGanesh Gorak
