Electrical Engineering Intern (MECOP) – 2026

ektronix is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer Intern to join our Hardware Engineering team through the MECOP Internship Program. This role offers hands-on experience working alongside experienced engineers on real-world product development, testing, and validation activities for industry-leading test and measurement solutions.The intern will gain exposure to the full hardware development lifecycle while contributing to meaningful engineering projects that support Tektronix’s mission of innovation and technical excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport hardware engineering teams in the design, development, and validation of electronic circuits and systemsAssist with schematic capture, PCB layout reviews, and design documentationPerform bench testing, debugging, and characterization of electrical circuits using oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and other lab equipmentAnalyze test data and document results, findings, and recommendationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineeringSupport root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiativesFollow established engineering standards, safety practices, and documentation processesRequired QualificationsCurrently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or a closely related fieldParticipation in or eligibility for the MECOP Internship ProgramStrong understanding of fundamental electrical engineering principles (analog/digital circuits, basic electronics)Familiarity with common lab equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, DMMs, power supplies)Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentationStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team-based engineering environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, Cadence, or similar)Exposure to embedded systems, power electronics, or signal integrity conceptsProgramming or scripting experience (Python, MATLAB, C/C++)Prior internship, co-op, or hands-on project experience in hardware or electronicsInterest in test and measurement technologiesWhat You’ll GainHands-on experience with real-world hardware engineering projectsMentorship from experienced Tektronix engineers and leadersExposure to professional engineering workflows and product development cyclesOpportunity to develop both technical and professional skills in a collaborative environmentValuable industry experience through the MECOP programRalliant Corporation OverviewRalliant, originally part of Fortive, now stands as a bold, independent public company driving innovation at the forefront of precision technology.
